You shouldn’t judge Houston until you really try it or in this case, visit this great city. Seattle Translation professionals often feel that Houston must be an extremely conservative city. There isn’t an ounce of truth in those thoughts.. Guess what? Houston is liberal and consists of two large democratic voting blocs because the city is 1/4-black and 1/3-hispanic. If saying that the city is liberal is not enough, consider that the city just elected an openly gay mayor.. Seattle might have Boeing but Houston has NASA and the space shuttle. Further, both Houston and Seattle have ports, diverse populations and nationalities from all over the world. In addition, Houston also claims some very famous past and present celebrities like Howard Hughes, Beyonce Knowles, Alexis Bledel, Hilary Duff and many others.

Unfortunately, the weather in both Houston and Seattle can be miserable at times. In Seattle, the sun never shines and there is the regular grayness in the sky that can often be depressing for some. In contrast, many parts of Houston sport a Mediterranean style and of course, the city gets lots of sunlight and warm weather that helps to keep things fun. However, the problem with Houston is usually very high humidity levels and an occasional hurricane scare.
